Music Therapy


Music therapy at Hands 2 Feet was introduced in 2013 and the services have expanded to include both group and individual sessions over the years.  The music therapists use music to promote, maintain and restore mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health.  Music therapy facilitates social interaction, self-awareness, self-expression, communication and personal development.

Musical techniques used in music therapy include:

  • singing and vocalizations
  • educational/instructional songs
  • playing instruments
  • movement and music
  • music relaxation
  • socializing through music activities with others, turn taking, group playing
  • song writing and lyric analysis
  • music discussion/processing

Music therapy appointments are available on:

  • Tuesdays 4:00pm to 6:00pm
  • Fridays 3:00pm to 6:00pm
  • Saturdays 9:00am to 1:00pm
